The Emergency Department of Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals, New Delhi has done 30 air sorties in the past 6 months, with 6 sorties in the month of Dec 2002! Now we have received Full membership in Air Medical Physicians Association (AMPA), a step towards international accreditation.

On 18th Dec 2002, we did 2 sorties, air evacuating critically ill patients from Kanpur and Patna simultaneously.

A first for Apollo Hospitals
On the air medical escort front, we have escorted patients to Nepal and UK. Latest in the air sortie logbook is the evacuation of a 4 month old American child from Dhaka diagnosed with encephalitis and at this date, has been discharged with complete recovery.
