Apollo has over 70 round-the-clock retail outlets in India striving to
maintain a stock of prescription drugs, OTC medicines and other health and
body-care related products. The pharmacy business has, as part of its
expansion plans, tied up with Indian Oil Corporation (a Fortune 500 Company)
to setup convenience stores across its retail gas stations in India.

Keimed.com Limited was incorporated in the year 1999, with the objective of
creating a unified national pharmaceutical procurement and supply chain

Apollo Health and Lifestyle Limited (AHLL)
AHLL is one of the groups most ambitious initiatives, incorporated to
deliver family-focused primary healthcare services through branded Apollo
clinics across India and its neighboring countries.

Apollo Telemedicine Enterprises Limited
(ATEL)
ATEL was incorporated in the year 1999, with the aim of developing the Apollo
Telemedicine Network. The Apollo Telemedicine Network allows the
participant sites to collaborate with institutions in the country and abroad
and provides their clientele access to better healthcare in areas not
adequately served by the medical community.
The President of the United States of America, President Bill Clinton, on
his visit to India in April 2000 visited an Apollo-telemedicine station in

Apollo Hospitals Education and Research
Foundation (AHERF)
AHERF is an important aspect of the Apollo Group. It has been set up with
the prime objective of establishing, maintaining and supporting educational
institutions to promote medical, paramedical and hospital management
courses. Apollo Institute of Hospital Management offers a Masters degree in
Hospital management to prepare well-trained, motivated and highly qualified
managers for efficient running of hospitals and other healthcare
institutions. Till date 150 managers have been trained and over 40 managers
are employed in different Apollo hospitals. The Apollo School of Nursing
offers various courses at different levels and trains nurses who serve in
hospitals all over India and abroad. Till now approximately 240 nurses have
already been trained and another 170 nurses are undergoing their internship.
The Group has also introduced courses to train students in their College of
Physiotherapy. These students are taught the skills and techniques of
therapeutic massage and exercise, for the management of various medical and
surgical conditions and till date 84 nurses have joined.
Apart from these, the Apollo Group has been running programs to train
Medical Technicians including emergency-medical technicians and laboratory
technicians with the required skill and knowledge in various aspects of
medicine and its technology interface.
