Cultural performances and bonhomie make residents of nearby localities mingle freely
New Delhi, March 26, 2015: The sound of music and joyful communion reverberated through the air as Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals, New Delhi, today celebrated the World Neighbourhood Day with a cultural evening of song and dance at the hospital auditorium with its most valuable neighbours.
More than 200 residents from Sarita Vihar, Jasola, New Friends Colony, Sukhdev Vihar, Defence Colony and Nizamuddin – the neighbouring localities of Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals – joined in the fun bringing people from various residential colonies together for a gala show from 4 pm till 7 pm.
The evening saw some enthralling performances by the neighbourhood stars aged between 8 and 80 years. The audience was very participative and enjoyed the evening which was followed by Hi-Tea & refreshments.

World Neighbourhood Day is an annual celebration of community, bringing together the people next door or across the street building stronger social connections and growing into stronger, well connected communities. Apollo Hospitals celebrates this day every year and offers free health check-ups and special discounts on health services to the residents.
Residents of the neighbouring localities voiced their approval about the event. Most people felt it was a unique way of promoting social interaction and community bonding and were pleased that the Hospital had undertaken yet another social initiative.
