Our emergency and trauma team consists of specialists from Traumatology, Cardiology, Cardio Thoracic Surgery, Neurology, Neurosurgery, Orthopedics, Plastic Surgery, Gastroentrology, Internal Medicine and Anesthesiology. Objectives of Accident and Emergency Department

To provide unrestricted access to appropriate emergency medical care To forge a smooth continuum among pre-hospital providers, emergency medical care providers, and providers of definitive follow-up care To provide appropriate and expedient evaluation, management, and treatment of patients To ensure availability of resources in the Emergency Department to accommodate each patient from the time of arrival through evaluation, decision making, treatment, and disposition Accident and Emergency Department is staffed by qualified personnel with knowledge and skills sufficient to evaluate and stabilize, if reasonably possible, those who seek emergency medical care, especially those with potentially lethal or disabling conditions. Timely emergency care is continuously available 24 hours a day, seven days a week by an emergency physician and emergency nursing staff physically present in the Emergency Department. Our Advanced Cardiac Life Support ambulances can transport patients from/to approx 400km with all amenities like Defib monitors, syringe pumps, pulse-oxymeter and transport ventilators. Accident and Emergency Department also conducts an active public education program like LIFESAVER and American Heart Association recognized Basic Life Support (BLS). Apollo Hospitals Group conducts a one-year Fellowship in Emergency Medicine, and three months Diploma in Family Medicine, in association with Royal College of General Physicians, UK DOST is a unique Personal Accident Insurance policy offered to the public, by Apollo Hospitals. A "DOST" card costs Rs. 320/- only, and can be bought for any individual within the age group of 5 to 70 years.
