The special services offered by this department are
  1. This department is the only department of Physiotherapy in Delhi to use Intermittent Vaccum/Compression Pump in treating post mastectomy lymphedema, venous insufficiency, amputation and traumatic oedema. The department is one of the very few to utilize the modern technology of Electro Myographic Bio Feed-back for muscle reactivation, relaxation therapy, postural correction and treatment of uro-gynaecological disorders.

  2. Whirlpool, a water bath with the water agitated by an electric turbine, helps heal open wounds and burns. It increases lymphatic circulation and provides graded exercise for rehabilitation of muscles affected by central or peripheral neurological disorders.

An essential aspect of physiotherapy treatment is rehabilitation, which may be required in order to re-educate a person to enable them to safely return to their normal life be it work ,sport.

Following injury and periods of immobilisation, patients may be affected by muscle weakness and loss of function.
