The CLINAC-21 EX high energy, specially designed Linear Accelerator has a Multi Leaf Collimator and a 3 D treatment planning system. This fully automated and computerized system provides 3 D Conformal Radiotherapy. With the help of Multi Leaf Collimator the dose distribution is limited to the target volume only and minimize damage to the neighboring organs and structures.

The sophisticated technology of SCLINAC-600 SR with the help of Micro Multi Leaf Collimator and the availability of dynamic conformal technique has been instrumental in providing highly effective treatment to the targeted area in the form of stereo tactic radiotherapy and radiosurgery. This is primarily meant for regions of brain but with the help of the new software it is being extended to the whole body.

It is also helpful in non-cancer cases like Arteriovenous malformations of the brain, cavernous angiomas and certain functional brain disorders.
